Sponsor Expectations

Before beginning any engagement, sponsors should be prepared to operate at an institutional level. CGC works best with sponsors who approach the process with clarity, preparation, and alignment.

  • Clearly articulate the project or transaction, including objectives, timeline, and capital requirements
  • Provide organized, accurate preliminary documentation
  • Demonstrate meaningful sponsor commitment and equity participation
  • Identify underlying collateral, assets, or cash flow supporting the opportunity
  • Engage with clear communication and timely responsiveness
Projects lacking basic documentation, sponsor alignment, or economic commitment are unlikely to advance beyond the initial assessment stage.
Engagement Stages
Step 01 Complimentary Initial Consultation No Charge

We begin with an introductory call or meeting to review the high-level scope of the project or transaction, assess potential fit, and determine whether further structured review is appropriate.

This discussion is exploratory and non-binding. It does not involve fundraising, solicitation, negotiation of capital, or any activity constituting broker-dealer services.

Step 02 Initial Document Review & Advisory Brief $500 — Flat Fee

If there is potential fit, CGC conducts a structured review of sponsor-provided materials and prepares a high-level advisory summary. This summary reflects CGC’s independent analytical assessment and does not constitute a guarantee of institutional acceptance, capital provider interest, or transaction viability.

This fee is non-refundable, payable in advance. A Non-Disclosure and Non-Circumvention Agreement (NCNDA) will be executed prior to any document exchange.

This stage may include

  • Review of financial assumptions and capital structure
  • Assessment of use of proceeds and capital objectives
  • Identification of key risks, gaps, and readiness issues
  • Preparation of a high-level advisory summary

Step 03 Strategic Advisory Retainer Case-by-Case

Following the initial review, certain sponsors require targeted advisory support to address specific readiness gaps before engaging institutional capital. This stage is intentionally limited in scope and focused on preparation, diagnostics, and institutional readiness — not on funding transactions.

Advisory services may include

  • Capital readiness gap analysis and prioritization
  • Refinement of capital structure assumptions
  • Targeted financial model review for institutional coherence
  • Advisory guidance on existing investment materials
  • Diligence preparation framing

Retainer fees reflect advisory services rendered. Any amounts paid may be credited toward a consulting completion fee if agreed in writing in advance.
Step 04 Consulting Completion Fee Fixed Flat Fee

Where CGC has provided ongoing advisory services throughout an engagement, a consulting completion fee may apply upon project close. This fee compensates CGC for the totality of advisory work performed — including capital readiness preparation, documentation strategy, financial modeling, and diligence support.

Completion fees are flat dollar amounts agreed in writing prior to engagement. They are not contingent on, or computed as a percentage of, capital raised, and are not indexed to transaction size.

Consulting completion fees are compensation for advisory services rendered. CGC does not receive compensation contingent on the success of any capital raise or transaction close.
